Chai Outmezguine joined the founding team of Scanbuy at its inception and was in charge of developing strategic partnerships with mobile carriers, such as Sprint, Telefonica, and Vodafone, and handset manufacturers worldwide, such as Sony Ericson and Nokia. He also focuses on forming international commercial alliances. Mr. Outmezguine held many positions at Scanbuy, first as its General Counsel, during which he focused on managing Scanbuy’s growing IP portfolio. For many years he was in charge of Scanbuy’s Global Business Development and was instrumental at developing Scanbuy’s services and taking them to market.
Mr. Outmezguine graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, and the Law School of Essex University in England. He also holds a BA in Finance from the Business School of IEA, Paris. Chai is the holder of several patents on behalf of Scanbuy relative to the decoding and use of linear and two-dimensional barcodes
Chief Financial Officer
Daniel Daly joined Scanbuy as Chief Financial Officer in September 2012, to oversee financial, investor and management reporting functions, with a focus on managing growth throughout Scanbuy. Prior to joining, he has worked with organizations, both large and small, driving accountability and improving the effectiveness of financial reporting to support leadership.
Mr. Daly graduated from Fairfield University with a B.S. in accounting before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he spent almost ten years servicing audit clients in Manufacturing, Technology, Entertainment and Communications.
Chief Marketing Officer
Maryann Moschides brings over 20 years of mobile-based experience to her role at Scanbuy, including strategic planning, business development and sales and marketing management. She is responsible for sales and marketing strategy, tactics, planning and the management of all branding, PR and corporate communication functions.
Prior to joining Scanbuy, Ms. Moschides founded Zayle Marketing, a full-service firm that handles marketing services, brand development, and website management. She has held key executive roles at a variety of companies, including Red Planet Media, NextWave Wireless and Brience, Inc. At Red Planet Media, she developed wireless channel partnerships with Verizon, Nokia, MobiTV and Telcel.
Ms. Moschides earned her MBA in business administration, Cum Laude, from Mount Saint Mary College, and also holds a B.S. in business management.
Vice President, Business Development
Joining Scanbuy in 2010, Agustín Calvo has played an active role in transforming mobile scanning into a full engagement channel by adding mobile couponing and segmented notification services. Through the years, he has developed dynamic global partnerships that have had a positive impact on the mobile scanning industry. Prior to his association with Scanbuy, Mr. Calvo held several executive positions at various Telefonica Group companies where he led the development of national and international business in Latin America and Europe. In 2001, he created and managed the first mobile marketing agency in Spain, achieving revenues of €13M within six years. During that time, he founded the Mobile Advertising Association (MMA) in Spain, and held a chair at the initial board of the MMA EMEA.
Mr. Calvo earned a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a Master in Artificial Intelligence from Madrid's Polytechnic University. He launched his career in Nortel and is the co-holder of three patents in telecom and biotech.
VP Product & Innovation
Didier Frantz, a Scanbuy cofounder, managed at first the company operations and finance then took over product management before opening and managing a development center in China in 2007. After leaving Scanbuy late 2008, he participated in the launch of a digital receipts startup then created and lead a mobile development boutique specialized in casual gaming and location based services. He joined Scanbuy again in 2015 to take over product and innovation.
Mr. Frantz graduated from France's leading business school HEC. Prior to Scanbuy, Didier worked as a strategy and organization consultant for Société Générale in France, UK and Indonesia. Didier is the holder of several patents relative to barcodes decoding and related mobile services.
