22 Nov 2011 | Author: David J.
To kick off the holiday season and celebrate the release of ScanLife 4.0, we’re launching a special promotion that focuses on one thing: winning free gift cards.
It’s called the “16 Days of Scanning” and the rules are this simple:
1) Scan a UPC code from ANY product
2) Cross your fingers and hope you hit the winning scan!
Win $100 gift cards from Starbucks, H&M, Best Buy, and others.
Winners will be selected daily at random, so the more you scan, the better chance you have to win!
The giveaway starts tomorrow, November 23rd.

The new app permissions are horrendous! Why in the heck does this app need permission to make outbound phone calls? Completely unnecessary and a major red flag for me.
These are just for different types of QR Codes. Some of these codes can lead to an action on your phone like dialing a phone number, but you are always asked if you want to make that call. Android Market displays these permissions because our app can links to other actions.
Hey man I have scanned hundreds of UPC codes and still haven’t won. I’m starting to think I’ve been scammed. No pun intended just would like to win. How many scans are the winners scanning? HUMMMmmm
The winners are picked at random, so you have a better chance the more you scan, but we nothing is guaranteed!
